What a bunch of double talk !

Gramps,

As to your answer to the man who felt his patriarchal blessing was not being fulfilled… Well all I can say is, That I haven’t heard so much double-talk in my life. Why didn’t you just tell him that his blessing will never come true. At least he won’t try to keep holding on to something that will never happen. Maybe then the poor smuck can get on with what life really is, that life is just one struggle after another until you finely die. I know because I finely gave up with the struggle and can’t wait till it’s over so I can finally get some rest, and never have to go through the pain of living in a world that just keeps lying to you.

Unfortunately, having given up you will never know what wonderful blessings the Lord had in store for you had you remained faithful. He said,

“For verily I say unto you, blessed is he that keepeth my commandments, whether in life or in death; and he that is faithful in tribulation, the reward of the same is greater in the kingdom of heaven.” (D & C 58:2.).
