I tithe ten percent of my income every month. I would like to know is there a scripture in the bible that states clearly 10 cents from each an every dollar.

In the first place, the words cents and dollars are not used in either the Old or New Testaments. So I can’t show you a place in the bible where it states that tithing is 10 cents from every dollar, but I can show you where it clearly states that a tithing is the tenth part of one’s income. The Old Testament was written in the Hebrew language, and the English word “tithes” was translated from the Hebrew “ma’aser,” which means ten percent. As we read the scripture in Malachi, 10-12, we perceive the following—
Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, (exactly 10% of one’s increase)
that there may be meat in mine house, (that the poor may be fed)
and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
—(Put the Lord to the test by obeying the commandment to give 10% of one’s increase to the Church, and verify that the Lord will bless you superabundantly)
And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts. And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts. If all the people will join together in obedience to this sacred law, their crops will be blessed with abundance and other nations will look up to you because you shall be a delightful land.
