How Can I Get My Wife To Join The Church?

Gramps,

What happens to someone who is faithful and does everything expected of him but cannot get his wife to accept the church , what degree of glory can he reach?

Dear Jim,

The end is not yet. If we follow the commandments, the Lord is sure and faithful to fulfill all His promised blessings to us. If you love your wife, treat her with kindness and respect, honoring and supporting her in her beliefs as you would expect her to honor your beliefs, your good example will be a more powerful influence in helping her to accept the gospel than if you continually preached to her about your religion.

She may or may not eventually join the church, but you should never give up pleading with the Lord to bless her with a testimony of the gospel. Having thus done your part, you will be blessed for it, and the Lord will hold nothing back from you in your progress in the eternities.
