How can I get my boyfriend to trust me, I love him so much! *
Gramps,
I am dating an Army guy. We met online about 2 years ago, and have been writing since then. He has been engaged 4 times. I will be the 5th one.
Well the question is, He doesn’t think I trust him. We do know each other quite well now. We met in February when he was on leave and went home for 2 weeks, and things are going pretty well, I think.
Well, he lives in Virginia right now at the Army base. I am having a hard time with him being out so late with his friends. Well, most of his friends are females. How can I say I do trust him, when I don’t feel comfortable with him being with other females. He tells me that he has no interests in any of them. He says he has never cheated on any of his girl friends. How can I let him know I trust him? I hope you can answer that. I love him with all my heart. Also he isn’t used to the unconditional love I have. What do I do about that? I do not want to scare him away. or push him away. I would die if I did that. Can you please help me Gramps. Thanks sincerely,
Lea, from Texas
Dear Lea,
You should be able to see this one coming from a mile off!! He’s been engaged four times! Do you think that he turned all four of them down because they didn’t meet his standards, or do you think it might have been the other way around?
So he’s frequently out late with all these girl friends, and has no interest in any of them? GIVE ME A BREAK! No wonder you can’t convince him that you trust him. HE KNOWS that he is not trustworthy; that’s why. If it were me, I wouldn’t touch that guy with a ten-foot pole. He undoubtedly has a great, winning personality. But that kind of personality is often used as a facade, and as a tool to get what he wants. And I would strongly suspect that once he gets what he wants you would see an entirely different personality emerge. Witness four engagements!
