Could I be from the tribe of Manassa if my progenitors are Lebanese?

Dear Gramps,
I have a question. My Dad is from the tribe of Manassa. My grandparents & great grandparents are from Beriut, Syria and so forth. I have been told all my life we are of the tribe of Manassa,  yet we are Lebanese. My maiden name is Manassa. All my Dad’s family resides in New York  Are we possibly part of the tribe of Manassa and how would that be if we are Lebanese?
Thank You,  God Bless & keep you,
Naneha, from Mena, Arkansas

Dear Naneha,
If you were to get your patriarchal blessing you would know of a certainty to which of the twelve tribes of Israel you belong. The fact that your progenitors come from the Near East would in no way preclude them or you from being from any one of the twelve tribes. As a matter of fact, although one would not normally think of the Mongolians as being from the house of Israel, a person living in Mongolia rather recent received a patriarchal blessing that declared that person to be from the last one of the twelve tribes that had been declared in patriarchal blessings in Mongolia.
