Prior Abortion
Many years ago, before I joined the church, at the urging of my then companion, I aborted a child. I have always been heart sick about it. Can I be forgiven?
Lynne
____________
Lynne,
I’m sorry to hear that you have felt this way for serveral years. There is no need for you to carry this burden.
Christ‘s atonement covers any and all sins, mistakes, and errors in judgement we may make if we repent. You most certainly can be forgiven. If you do not feel forgiven then there may be something else wrong. You might talk to your Bishop about these feelings. God does not want you to be burdened by feelings like these if you sincerely repent.
