Male head covering

Gramps,

You said in 1 Cor:11 that head covering for women was custom of that time. So is now okay for men to pray with a head covering [hat]in the church during prayer?

Dear Ken,

I would think not. I have been to many church events in my life, and at the ones where the possibility of men wearing hats existed, the hats have always been removed right before prayer. Even to the point of young men being instructed by their leaders/parents to remove them.

I do not think we have reached the point where the custom of men removing their hats haa been done away with. That being said, your local church leaders are the ones who make the call on what is or is not allowed during church functions.
